01Origin

Phoenix, first.

Samantha grew up in Arizona. Desert sun, big skies, and a Phoenix stand-up scene big enough that a weekly Tuesday at Bullshooters is where you find out whether you can actually do this.

She dominated.

She'd worked that Tuesday room week after week, building the kind of muscle that only a regular slot in front of the same crowd can give you. The room that doesn't laugh at your old material because they were here last Tuesday.

"You don't learn comedy in classes. You learn it in front of the same forty people, every Tuesday, for a year."
02Migration

Arizona → Austria.

The desert moved to the Alps. Samantha relocated to Linz. A city she now does enough material about to fill a one-hour set on its own. She discovered that the deeply unhinged business of being a foreigner in two languages a day is, it turns out, comedy gold.

Within months she was working Chelsea Pub, Smaragd, the Comedy Keller in Vienna, and NarrenCastl in Salzburg. The Austrian English-language comedy circuit absorbed her so fast that within a year she was running her own themed multi-city tours. The Illuminati Tour and the Thanksgiving Tour across Bratislava, Vienna, Budapest, Belgrade, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Novi Sad, Salzburg, and Istanbul.

03Persona

Terminator Barbie.

The act is Terminator Barbie tells jokes: a sizzling mix of sex appeal and humor, alien conspiracies turned into observational bits, Wi-Fi battles weaponised into punchlines, the occasional roast of an unsuspecting audience member who absolutely brought it on themselves. Half blonde glamour, half chrome predator, all setup-and-payoff.

The stage name is Sammamoth — Sam + a mammoth. Extinct, oversized, slightly fluffy, unmistakably hers. So is the act.

Stars-and-stripes meets Linz staircase — the Sammamoth visual identity in one shot.
04The Stage

Forty rooms, eight countries.

She's logged more than 40 shows across 14 cities in 8 countries. Monthly shows in Linz (Chelsea Pub, Smaragd) plus regular nights in Vienna, Salzburg, Graz, and Innsbruck. Her Illuminati Tour through Bratislava, Budapest, Zagreb, Ljubljana, and Novi Sad; Thanksgiving Tour sets in Belgrade and Istanbul; and the original Phoenix and Los Angeles rooms where it all started. She headlines, she features, she runs her own tours, she opens her own rooms.

She also teaches English, including stand-up writing coaching for non-native comics. The full teaching story lives over here →

01Why

Native, and learner.

Samantha grew up speaking English in Arizona — and learned Deutsch the hard way after moving to Linz. She's been on both sides of the table: the fluent speaker, and the foreigner trying to land a punchline in a second language at a Stammtisch.

That makes her good at the actual job: noticing exactly what's blocking you. Not the textbook diagnosis. The real one — the word you avoid, the tense you fake, the moment your brain refuses to commit.

02Edge

A comedian teaches differently.

Five years on stage means she can read a room in two minutes flat. In a lesson, that translates: she clocks the second your eyes glaze, the second you're pretending to follow, the second you're about to give up. And she pivots.

Lessons are conversation-first, structured around what you actually want to do in English — work, travel, dating, comedy, all of it. Mistakes get corrected the moment they happen. Awkward silences don't faze her. She works in awkward silences for a living.

Bilingual life, captured: reading "The Complete Austria" on the Stars and Stripes.
03Who

Who shows up.

Adults who want fluency, not grammar drills. Professionals prepping for interviews, presentations, or just a calmer English-language inbox. Comedians writing their first sets in English — a specialist coaching arc with someone who actually does it.

And the largest group, honestly: people who've already tried the apps and the textbooks and are tired of pretending it's working. She runs the lesson you wish school had been.

"My English was rusty after 10 years out of school. Three months in and I finally had the confidence to present at work — and to roast my colleagues in it."
